The LG RHT497H is a good value mid-range do-it-all digital freeview recorder with 160GB HDD at a great price.
It comes with a built in Freeview+ tuner, DVD recorder and 160GB hard disk to give a maximum recording time of 477 hours or 43 hours in best quality – fine for most people but if you’re a telly addict you may be able to fill it up with a little effort !
It’s easy to set up and to operate in basic modes – recording, playback, DVD player. The remote control can even be set up to activate basic TV functions such as changing channels and volume control.

It does it all, is easy to use (once you’ve mastered the slightly over complicated user manual) and comes at a great price making it perfect for the digital switchover.
